Sustainable
Accreditation

  • Both cottages have been designed and built with a focus on reducing their impact on the environment.

  • Solar hot water and solar renewable energy use

  • Constructed from shipping containers. The choice in repurposing the containers meant reducing the amount of non-renewable resources that would have been required for a traditional cottage construction.

  • 100% use of sustainable timber

  • All building materials were sourced within 180km of the cottages.

  • The cottages have super insulated roofing and internal panels to aid your thermal comfort and reduce energy use.

  • Water conscious with a 100% pure filtered and UV treated rainwater system.

  • Passive wetlands wastewater management system.

  •  Recycling and compost bins

  • The property has a carbon abatement initiative, rewilding an acre of riparian zone along the Goolmangar Creek.
